13 Spartans Earn Scholastic All-American Honors

ITHACA, N.Y.—For the second time in school history, 13 San José State women’s gymnasts earned 2022-23 Scholastic All-American honors, as announced by the Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA).

The 13 gymnasts tie for the second-highest number of Spartans to receive this honor in an academic year. The 2022 and 2013 squads had 14 honorees, followed by the 2023 and 2016 teams at 13.

Of the 13 gymnasts, two received the honor for the fourth time, while two received honors for the first time in her Spartan career. Nine received either their second or third recognition.

To be eligible for the award, gymnasts must have a 3.5 overall grade point average or a 3.5 grade point average for 2022-23.
