SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Bente Pernot made 11 saves and Taylor Phillips scored a goal to lead the San José State women's soccer team in a 2-1 loss at No. 19 Santa Clara on Thursday night.
- Pernot recorded double-digit saves for the second time in her career. She made a career-high 14 saves against Stanford in the NCAA Tournament in 2022.
- Phillips' goal was the seventh of her career.
- Kennedy Mayo led the Spartans with two shots.
- Karissa Ruble recorded a shot on goal.
- Ava Bynes, Hope Northrup and Sophia Memory made their NCAA debuts.
