SAN JOSE, Calif. - San José State swimmer Felicity Passon will head to Madagascar to represent her home country of Seychelles in the 11th Indian Ocean Island Games from Aug. 24-28.
- In the 2022 season, Passon broke two SJSU pool records with a 2:00.17 in the 200-yard backstroke and a 23.54 in the 50-yard freestyle.
- Passon has previously competed at the Indian Ocean Island Games where she is a seven-time champion.
- Passon represented her country in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games where she competed in the 100m backstroke and 200m backstroke.
- Passon became the first swimmer from Seychelles to win a gold medal at the African Games when she won gold in the 100m backstroke (1:02.42) and in the 200m backstroke (2:14.55)
