Spartans Shoot 3-Under Par In Final Round In Japan

HOKKAIDO, Japan – Carl Corpus closed the Pan-Pacific Collegiate Championship with a 1-under-par 71 to lead San José State in the final round to finish ninth individually. The team's final round score was 285 (-3), and they finished third overall for the tournament with an even-par 864.

  • Caleb Shetler finished 16th with a final-round score of 2-under-par, with an overall score of 216 (E).
  • Avinash Iyer and Zubair Firdaus both shot a final-round score of even par to finish in a tie for 30th.
  • Kristopher Stiles finished in a tie for 39th with a final-round score of 6-over-par.  
  • The Spartans finished with a three-day total of 864 (E) to finish off the season opener in Japan.

UP NEXT: The Spartans will head to Washington to compete in the Husky Invitational hosted by the University of Washington at the Gold Mountain Golf Club on September 18-19.
