STANFORD, Calif.—Lucia Lopez Ortega shot an even-par 71 in the final round of the Stanford Intercollegiate on Sunday to lead the San José State women’s golf team to a 16th place finish in the tournament that featured 16 teams ranked in the top-50.
- Lopez Ortega finished tied for 35th at 4-over 217. In the final round, she made three birdies, 12 pars and three bogeys during her round.
- Darae Chung finished tied for 46th at 6-over 217 after finishing the tournament with a 3-over 74. She made three birdies during her round on Sunday.
- Louisa Carlbom shot her best round of the tournament with a 1-over 72 and tied for 53rd at 7-over 220.
- Rebecca Gyllner tied for 71st at 71st at 13-over 226, while Tessa Kremser tied for 83rd at 17-over 230.
- Playing as an individual, Moa Andersson tied for 58th at 8-over 221.
- The Spartans finished in 16th place at 28-over 880 after shooting a 292 in the final round.
UP NEXT – The Spartans have finished the fall portion of the schedule. The team is back in action in 2024 at the Therese Hession Regional Challenge February 4-6.
