Spartans Tie Colorado State in 4-4 Thriller


SAN JOSE, Calif. - Sabrina Weinman recorded two assists to lead the San José State women's soccer team (3-5-6, 1-2-3 MW) in a 4-4 draw against Colorado State (7-4-3, 2-2-2 MW) on Sunday afternoon.

  • The Spartans trailed 3-1 at the half before scoring three goals in the final 45 minutes.
  • Taylor Phillips scored her fifth goal of the season.
  • Bella Flocchini produced an assist for her team-leading 15th point of the year.
  • Kennedy Mayo added her third goal of the season.
  • Iliana Jasso registered her first career goal.
  • Jordan Rowell picked up her first point of the season, assisting on Jasso's goal.
  • Tiana Cello netted her first goal of the season.
  • Bente Pernot made four saves.
  • Five Spartans played all 90 minutes.
  • Weinman not only had two assists in a match for the first time in her career but she also picked up her first two assists of the 2023 campaign.
  • The Spartans scored four goals in a conference match for the first time since October 16, 2023 when they defeated Colorado State, 4-1.
