Fleming & Ti'a Lead Spartans at Boise State

BOISE, IdahoBlaire Fleming and Nayeli Ti’a each had six kills Saturday afternoon as the San José State volleyball team fell at Boise State, 3-0, in a Mountain West match inside Bronco Gym.


  • Brooke Bryant added four kills, while Jiana Lawson, Brooke Slusser and Yazim Pitpit had two kills each.
  • Lawson led the Spartans with five blocks, two solos and three assists.
  • The Spartans had six blocks in the second set, four by Lawson during the set.
  • Slusser recorded her seventh double-double this season with 12 assists and 10 digs. She also led SJSU with three service aces.
  • Alessia Buffagni led the team with 13 digs.


UP NEXT – The Spartans return home next week for the final home matches of the season. San José State hosts UNLV Tuesday night in the MW Block Party Match at 6 p.m., followed by San Diego State Thursday night at 6 p.m. Both matches will be played at Spartan Gym, located in the YUH Complex on the corner of Fourth and San Carlos Streets. Admission is free to both matches.
