SAN JOSE, Calif. – Kairee Robinson rushed for a career-high 200 yards and two touchdowns, and Chevan Cordeiro went 9-for-18 for 146 yards and three touchdowns as San José State (5-5, 4-2 MW) defeated No. 25 Fresno State (8-2, 4-2 MW) 42-18 on Saturday night to take home the Valley Trophy at CEFCU Stadium. It is the first Spartan win over a nationally-ranked opponent since November 29, 2013 when they defeated No. 16 Fresno State 62-52.
- This is the first four-game win streak for the Spartans since 2020.
- The win is the largest margin of victory over Fresno State since 1990 when the Spartans defeated the Bulldogs 42-7.
- Robinson scored his 14th rushing touchdown of the game in the first quarter. He has scored in every game he has played in this season.
- Robinson's second touchdown tied the single-season rushing record set by Johnny Johnson Jr. (1988) and Deoncé Whitaker (2000) with 15.
- He now has 17 total touchdowns on the season, two behind Johnson, who set the record in 1988.
- His 33 career touchdowns puts him two behind the SJSU record set by Whitaker (1998-2001).
- This was Robinson's fifth 100-yard rushing game of the season.
- He is the first Spartan to rush for 200 yards since Tyler Ervin ran for 263 yards on October 24, 2015 against New Mexico.
- Robinson has a touchdown in an SJSU record nine straight games.
- The Spartans scored on their first three drives of the game for the first time this season.

- The Spartans' 28 first-half points is their most this season against an FBS opponent.
- Cordeiro's three touchdown passes in the first half is the third time this season he has thrown for three touchdowns in a game.
- His first was to Malikhi Miller, his first touchdown of the season.
- Cordeiro's second touchdown pass was to Isaac Jernagin, his first-career touchdown.
- He threw his third touchdown pass of the first half to Nick Nash from 14 yards out.
- Michael Dansby had his first interception of the season and took it back 98 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter. It is his third interception of his career.
- It was the second-longest interception returned for a touchdown in SJSU history behind Gerald Jones's 99-yard interception for a score against Nevada on September 18, 2003.
- It was also the first pick-six since Dakari Moore returned an interception for a touchdown against UNLV on October 27, 2018.
- Matthew Tago recorded his first-career interception in the first quarter.
- The Spartans had five sacks in the win, recorded by Noah Lavulo (2), Tre Smith, Soane Toia and Jay Kakiva.
- The Spartan defense finished with 11.5 tackles for loss.
- The Spartans outgained the No. 25 Bulldogs 459-308.
- Quali Conley had 93 yards on 15 carries in the win.
- The Spartans rushed for 313 yards, their fourth-straight game with at least 200 yards on the ground.
- It is the first game of the season where the Spartans have rushed for 300 plus yards.
