COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Jyah LoVett was named the Mountain West Women's Basketball Freshman of the Week, the league announced Monday, after two stellar performances on the road for the Spartans.
- Averaged 16.5 points per game in two games on the road at Montana State and Loyola Marymount.
- Scored a then season-high 16 points against Montana State.
- Surpassed that season high with a game-high 17 points in the win over Loyola Marymount on Sunday with three 3-pointers.
- Totaled six assists in the two games.
- Went a combined 7-of-9 from the free throw line.
- Defensively, she had five steals between the two games.
- Is currently the team's leading scorer, averaging 12.4 points per game.
UP NEXT: LoVett and the Spartans travel to Berkeley, Calif., this weekend to compete in the Raising The B.A.R. Invitational. They open with Cal on Friday at 12 p.m.
