COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - San José State quarterback Chevan Cordeiro, running back Kairee Robinson and defensive end Tre Smith lead 10 Spartans awarded 2023 All-Mountain West football honors, as announced by the conference on Tuesday.
This is the fourth straight year with double-digit All-Mountain West selections for the Spartans. This is also the second consecutive season with five either first or second team All-Mountain West selections as SJSU finished as co-regular season Mountain West champions.
Cordeiro, Robinson and Smith were named All-Mountain West First Team, while wide receiver Nick Nash and defensive tackle Soane Toia were named All-Mountain West Second Team. Safety Tre Jenkins, offensive linemen Fernando Carmona, Jr. and Anthony Pardue, plus linebacker Bryun Parham and cornerback Jay'Vion Cole were named All-Mountain West Honorable Mention.

- Has led the Spartans to six straight wins for the first time since 2020 and two straight bowl games for the first time since 1987
- His four interceptions are good for seventh in the country and has thrown the fewest interceptions in the Mountain West
- Has a passer rating of 143.5 which is fourth in the Mountain West
Kairee Robinson, RB, Senior, Antioch, Calif./De La Salle HS
- Has career-high's with 18 touchdowns, 1,124 yards rushing and 7.2 yards per carry in 2023
- Robinson has a touchdown in every game he's played in this season (11), which is an SJSU record and is second in the nation in consecutive games played with a touchdown
- Robinson's 20 total touchdowns on the season is an SJSU single-season record.
- He has a rushing touchdown in 21-career games, which ties an SJSU record
- Robinson also has 36 career touchdowns which ties Deoncé Whitaker (1998-2001) who had 36 (33 rushing, two receiving, one kick return) for the SJSU record
- Robinson has over 100 yards in six games this season
- Robinson's 18 rushing touchdowns are good for third in the country and tops in the Mountain West
- His rushing yards are good for second in the conference and 23rd in the country
- His yards per carry is good for fourth in the country and tops in the conference
- He's 15th in rushing yards per game and second in the conference averaging 102.2 yards
