FULLERTON, Calif. – Semaj Smith led the Spartans with a career-high 16 points as San José State (4-5, 0-0 MW) fell 71-64 on Tuesday night to Cal State Fullerton (3-3, 0-0 Big West) in their first of four-straight games on the road.
- Smith had eight of her 16 points in the first quarter on 4-of-5 shooting from the field.
- Sydni Summers came off the bench and made three 3-pointers to finish with 13 points. It is her fourth double-digit point game in the last five games.
- Summers also had a game-high three steals.
- Maya Anderson tied her career high with nine points after knocking down three 3-pointers. She also had a career high in rebounds with seven and added a block and a steal.
- Amhyia Moreland was strong on the defensive end with a pair of blocks and a steal.
- The Spartans were able to battle back in the second half despite the loss, outscoring the Titans 44-36.
