SAN JOSE, Calif. – Sydni Summers scored a team and career-high 14 points on Wednesday as San José State (6-11, 1-4 MW) rallied but fell short 68-64 against Boise State (12-6, 3-2 MW) on Wednesday night.
- The Spartans trailed by as many as 19 points in the second quarter before outscoring the Broncos 39-28 in the second half.
- SJSU cut the deficit to just one point to close out the third quarter.
- Summers knocked down four 3-pointers to lead the Spartans in scoring.
- Jyah LoVett had 13 points and dished out five assists.
- LoVett has scored double-digit points in every Mountain West game so far this season.
- Marisa Davis-Jones rounded out the double-digit scorers for the Spartans with 11 points off the bench.
- Amhyia Moreland scored nine points on 4-of-4 shooting from the field.
- The Spartans only had 11 turnovers in the game while forcing Boise State to turn it over 20 times.
- The Spartans defense had 10 steals, with six coming from Sabrina Ma and Maya Anderson, combined.
- The Spartans knocked down six of their 10 3-pointers in the second half at a 40-percent clip.
- After a slow first quarter, SJSU outscored Boise State 58-46 in the final three periods.
