The 2024 San José State Beach Volleyball team begins the season on Friday with a dual at preseason No. 8 California beginning at 2 p.m. at the Clark Kerr Sand Courts in Berkeley. The Spartans will play an exhibition against American River College at 12 p.m.
The Spartans were picked fifth in the Southland Conference Preseason Poll, as voted upon by the conference’s head coaches and sports information directors. The Spartans finished the 2023 season with an 11-9 overall record.

San José State will host the Inaugural Sand Jose Invitational March 16 & 17 at Spartan Beach. Teams competing include Texas A&M Corpus Christi, Sacramento State, Utah, Saint Mary’s and Sierra College.
The Spartans will play at the Southland Midseason Tournament March 22-24, in New Orleans, and at the Southland Championships, April 19-21, in Houston, Texas.
