SAN JOSE, Calif. - Lamar Radcliffe and Tuli Tagovailoa-Amosa signed on National Signing Day Wednesday to join SJSU football for the 2024 season.
"I'm very excited about who we got," said head football coach Ken Niumatalolo. "We met our needs and what we're looking for and I'm really excited about the guys that we signed."
The two high school players will join the 19 already signed that include eight transfers and one from a power five school. Nineteen of the incoming class are from California and also 11 come from the defensive side of the ball. The Spartans will open spring practice in March in their first season under Coach Niumatalolo.
Lamar Radcliffe, RB, Freshman, Sacramento, Calif./Sacramento HS
- Three-star recruit according to 247 Sports.
- Went over 2,000 rushing yards in high school.
- Rushed for 370 yards against Christian Brothers.
- Named the Sacramento High School's offensive MVP in 2021 and 2023.
Tuli Tagovailoa-Amosa, ATH, Freshman, Ewa Beach, Hawai‘i/Kahuku HS
- Played quarterback at Kahuku High School and was a four year captain.
- Kahuku High School won the 2023 championship.
- Brother Myron played football at Notre Dame and had a stint on the Las Vegas Raiders practice squad.
- Brother Adam played football at Navy under Coach Niumatalolo.
- His first cousins are Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and former Maryland quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa.
