LAS VEGAS – Sydni Summers scored a career-high 22 points to lead No. 10 seed San José State (7-24, 2-16 MW) as they fell 72-51 to No. 7 seed San Diego State (20-12, 10-8 MW) in the opening round of the Mountain West Tournament on Sunday evening.
- Summers knocked down four 3-pointers and dished out a team-high three assists. Her 22 points were also a game high.
- She also went a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line, where she was 100% on the season.
- Sabrina Ma followed with 10 points.
- Sofia Kelemeni finished with eight points and a game-high six rebounds.
- Semaj Smith matched Kelemeni's game-high six rebounds off the bench.
- The Spartans out-rebounded the Aztecs 43-33 with 19 coming on the offensive end.
