Arwefjäll Tied for Second After First Day of Silicon Valley Showcase

MILLBRAE, Calif.—Kajsa Arwefjäll shot 3-under par for her first two rounds at the Silicon Valley Showcase and is tied for second as she and the 25th-ranked San José State women’s golf team is tied for third after the first day of golf at the par-71 course at the Green Hills Country Club.

  • Arwefjäll started the day shooting a 2-under 69 in the first round, finishing with a clean card with two birdies and 16 pars.
  • She followed that with a 1-under 70 in the second round. She made four birdies during the round.
  • Arwefjäll leads the field in pars made with 28, tied for third in birdies made with six and second in par-3 scoring at 2-under.
  • Lucia Lopez Ortega shot a 5-over 76 in each round and is tied for 19th at 10-over 152.
  • Louisa Carlbom shot a 3-over 74 in the first round and finished the day tied for 26th at 12-over 154.
  • Moa Andersson and Rebecca Gyllner are tied for 40th at 15-over, 157.
  • Tessa Kremser, playing as an individual, is tied for 44th at 17-over 159.

UP NEXT – Final round action begins Tuesday with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. The Spartans will play with Pepperdine and UCLA on holes 1-4.
