COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—San José State women’s gymnasts Lauren Macpherson and Jaudai Lopes have been honored by the Mountain West for their performances Sunday in a quad meet with Boise State, Illinois State and Yale.
Lauren Macpherson – MW Gymnast of the Week
- Scored a season-best 39.500 in the all-around, tying for the fourth-highest all-around score in school history
- Won her sixth all-around title of the year
- Won her first vault title of the season with a 9.825
- Led the bars team with a career-best 9.925
- Helped the bars team set a new school record with a 49.375
- Sixth MW Gymnast of the Week honor
Jaudai Lopes – MW Floor Specialist of the Week
- Won the floor with a career-best 9.950
- First floor title of the season
- Also part of the bars team that set a school record
- First floor specialist honor and fifth honor of the season
UP NEXT – The Spartans travel to Berkeley this Friday for a tri-meet with California and UC Davis beginning at 7 p.m.
