SAN JOSE, Calif.—The San José State beach team heads back to the sand this Wednesday as the Spartans will play two duals at Pacific on Wednesday, March 13, beginning at 2 p.m., at the Raney Sand Volleyball Courts.
- San José State begins the day with a 2-5 overall record, while Pacific is 0-7.
- The Spartans are coming off a split of Saturday’s duals against San Francisco, winning the first 4-1, before falling, 3-2, in the second.
- Shirley Morrison and Jaena Bell were the only Spartan pair to go 2-0 on the day.
“It was a solid day of competition against San Francisco on Saturday,” said Spartan Coach Gary Hodge. “We won the first dual fairly handily but didn’t quite have enough for the second dual. I was proud of the way our top-pair, Jaida Ward and Jada Hall, responded after a tough loss in the first match.
“I was also proud of Jaena Bell who made her first appearance in our lineup, winning both matches with her partner Shirley Morrison. “
