The San José State women’s gymnastics team competes in the first-ever Mountain West Championship this Saturday evening at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum in Logan, Utah. This is the first year that the conference has sponsored women’s gymnastics. San José State will begin the meet on floor, the team’s best event this season, followed by vault-bars-beam.

CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS
The San José State women’s gymnastics has won four team conference championships in program history - 2004, 2017, 2018 and 2022, all while members of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation.
Individually, three Spartans won individual titles while members of the Western Athletic Conference (beam, floor, all-around), while there were 26 individual championships while competing in the MPSF (vault, 7; bars 3;, beam 4; floor, 6; all-around 6).
Jada Mazury (2022) and Lauren Macpherson (2023) won the last two MPSF All-Around crowns. Jaudai Lopes tied for first on the vault (2023), while Madison Kirsch won the vault in 2022. Mazury also won the bars and floor in 2022.
NATIONAL RANKINGS
The Spartans are currently ranked 33rd in the national rankings with a 196.555 national qualifying score. The top-36 teams in the rankings will advance to regional competition, April 3-7.

The top-36 teams in the country will advance to one of four regionals for competition, April 3-7. Regionals will be hosted by California (Berkeley, Calif.), Arkansas (Fayetteville, Ark.), Michigan (Ann Arbor, Mich.) and Florida (Gainesville, Fla.)
The Spartans are looking to make their ninth appearance at an NCAA regional.
The NCAA Championships are April 18-20 at the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.
