SAN JOSE, Calif. - Sinia Plotz had her fourth hat trick of the season to lead the No. 17 San José State women's water polo team (9-10, 0-3 MPSF) in their 10-15 loss to No. 9 Arizona State (20-4, 1-1 MPSF).
- Lucy Miszewski, Darcy Spark, Emma Ruzic, Maiken Pardon and Renee Fleming also scored during the match.
- Miszewski was strong on defense leading the team in steals with four.
- Ivanna Anderson-Villela led the team in drawn exclusions with four, giving the Spartans multiple power play opportunities.
- Grace Smith recorded four saves in the first two quarters while Zsofia Hadju tallied three saves in the last two quarters.
- The Spartans won the first two sprints.
- Plotz, Miszewski and Spark each had a field block to prevent the Sun Devils from scoring.
