LOS ANGELES – Reina Zermeno had three hits on the day for San José State softball (11-13, 2-1 MW) as they dropped both games of a doubleheader against LMU (14-13, 0-0 WCC), 6-1 in game one and 5-0 in game two in this non-conference series from Smith Field in Los Angeles on Saturday.
Game One vs. LMU
- Haley Reeve went 1-for-2 with a walk.
- Shay McDowell went 1-for-3 with a single.
- Ahmiya Noriega went 1-for-3 with a run scored.
- Zermeno went 1-for-3 with a single.
- First pitch was pushed back to 1:05 p.m. due to inclement weather.
Game Two vs. LMU
- Zermeno went 2-for-3 with two singles.
- Ashley Rico went 1-for-2 with a walk.
- Makenzie Hutchinson caught a runner stealing, her first of the season.
- Hutchinson went 1-for-3 with a single.
- Spartans finsihed with four hits and five left on base.
- LMU hit two home runs
- First pitch was at 3:40 p.m. due to first game being pushed back for weather.
