COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - San José State track and field athletes Malachi Snow and Jaden Smith lead 12 Spartans awarded 2024 Mountain West Outdoor Track and Field All-Conference honors as announced by the conference on Wednesday.
The Spartans finished the 2024 Mountain West Outdoor Championships with 13 medals overall, 9 golds, two silvers and two bronzes. The Spartans earned All-Mountain West honors in the Men's 4x100, 4x400, 100m, 200m, 400m, 110m Hurdles and Long Jump as well as the Women's Triple Jump, Long Jump and 100m Hurdles. The Spartans rewrote the Mountain West Outdoor Championship record books, breaking four meet records overall in the Men’s 4x100 Relay, Men’s 100m Dash, Men’s 110m Hurdles and the Men’s 400m Dash.
This is the second season in a row that the Spartans had more than 10 all-conference honorees. Just a few months ago, the team had 11 all-conference selections for the Mountain West Indoor season.

- Earned All-Mountain West honors in Men's 100m, 110m Hurdles and 4x100 Relay.
- Won three gold medals in Men’s 100m, 110m Hurdles and 4x100 Relay at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships.
- Set three different MW Outdoor Championship meet records in the Men’s 100m, 110m Hurdles and 4x100 Relay with times of 10.14, 13.40 and 39.34 seconds respectively.
- Won the 2024 MW Outdoor Championships Men’s Track Performer of the Meet for his performances.
- Currently ranked number fourth in the nation and number one in the west region for the Men’s 110m Hurdles.
- Also currently ranked as number four in the west region for the Men’s 100m.
- Set personal bests at the MW Outdoor Championships in the 100m with a time of 10.14, the 200m with a time of 20.90, and the 110m Hurdles with a time of 13.40 seconds.
- Broke two SJSU all-time records in the Men’s 100m and 110m Hurdles.
- Leading the Men’s 110m Hurdles event squad currently ranked 10th in the nation.
- Part of the 4x100 Relay squad currently ranked sixth in the west region with their time of 39.34.
