SANTA CLARA, Calif.—Three Spartans recorded double-doubles and the Spartans recorded a season-best 18 blocks as the San José State volleyball team stayed undefeated on the season with a 3-2 (25-13, 23-25, 21-25, 25-18, 15-11) win at Santa Clara Sunday inside the Leavey Center.
- Nayeli Ti'a led all hitters with 14 kills and added 12 digs for her fourth consecutive double-double on the year.
- Brooke Slusser recorded her second consecutive double-double with 39 assists and 10 kills.
- Emma Testi had a season-best 10 blocks (1-9) and added nine kills as she hit .533 on the day.
- She recorded double-digit blocks for the third consecutive match and is the first Spartan since 2016 to record 10 blocks in a match – Nandyala Gama vs. UNLV, 1/1/16.
- Alessia Buffagni recorded 11 digs, her second match of year with double-figure digs.
- The 18 blocks for SJSU are the most this season for the Spartans and the most in the Mountain West in match.
- Brooke Bryant added six blocks, while Brooke Slusser and Jade Epps recorded five blocks each.
- The Spartans are 6-0 on the season, the best start in school history since the 1990 team started with six consecutive wins.

UP NEXT – The Spartans open the home portion of the 2024 with matches against San Francisco on Thursday the 19th and Saint Mary’s on the 21st. Both matches begin at 5 p.m. inside Spartan Gym, located inside the YUH Complex on the corner of Fourth and San Carlos Streets.
