SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San José State men's basketball team announces their non-conference and tentative conference schedules for the 2024-25 season. This season will mark the fourth season under the helm of head coach Tim Miles.

  • The Spartans return five players from the 2023-24 season, including Latrell Davis, Adrame Diongue, Pasha Goodarzi, Robert Vaihola and Christian Wise
  • SJSU welcomes seven transfers, Will McClendon, Sadaidriene Hall, Sadraque NgaNga, Steven Vasquez, Donavan Yap, Josh Uduje and Chol Marial.
  • The Spartans also welcome three freshmen, Cameron Patterson, Ben Roseborough and Jermaine Washington, to the squad.
  • San José State will open the season at home on Nov. 4 against Western Illinois.
  • After the season opener, the Spartans will head to Honolulu, Hawaii to compete in the Outrigger Rainbow Classic. In the classic, SJSU will compete against Pacific on Nov. 8, Hawaii on Nov. 10 and Life Pacific on Nov. 11. 
  • The Spartans will then return home to play UC Santa Barbara on Nov. 17 before heading to Southern California to take on USC of the BIG 10 on Nov. 20.
  • SJSU will next head to Henderson, Nev. to compete in the Ball Dawgs Classic. In the Ball Dawgs Classic, the Spartans will take on UTEP on Nov. 25, UNCG on Nov. 26 and Long Beach State on Nov. 27. 
  • The Spartans open Mountain West play this year on the road against New Mexico on Dec. 4. 
  • The Spartans will then return to the Provident Credit Union Event Center for a five game home stand. SJSU will wrap up non-conference play with games against Lincoln on Dec. 9, Cal Poly on Dec. 14 and Kennesaw State on Dec. 21. SJSU will then close out 2024 with Mountain West games against Boise State on Dec. 28 and Colorado State on Dec. 31. 
  • SJSU will play each Mountain West opponent twice this season with a home and away split of their two games.
  • The Spartans will close out their regular season against Fresno State on March 8 with Senior Day honoring this year’s graduating class. 
  • The 2025 Mountain West Tournament will take place March 12-15 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nev.
  • The Mountain West portion of the schedule is currently tentative, and game times, as well as dates, are subject to change. The updated MW schedule will be released in the next couple of weeks, which could show any game day shifts, network outlets, and tip-off times.
