COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Keshav Mungali shot a 67 (-5) in his second round and currently sits in third place to lead San José State men’s golf as they finished the second day of competition in second place on the team leaderboard at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational from Eisenhower Golf Club in Colorado Springs, Colo. on Sunday.
- The Spartans shot 278 (-10) as a team in the second round and currently sit in second place out of the 22 teams with a combined score of 569 (-7) through two rounds of play.
- Mungali had six birdies to finish with a 67 (-5) and currently sits in third place on the player leaderboard after the first two rounds with a total score of 140 (-4).
- Mungali rose 15 spots on the player leaderboard for the day after finishing his second round of play.
- Zubair Firdaus had five birdies on the day and shot a second-round 69 (-3) currently sitting in ninth place on the player leaderboard after day two. After two rounds of play, Firdaus has a total score of 143 (-1).
- Firdaus jumped up 17 spots on the player leaderboard during his second round on Sunday.
- Jed Dy followed up his SJSU debut with a second-round score of 67 (-5), rising 48 spots on the player leaderboard to finish the second day of competition in 15th place with a total two-round score of 144 (E).
- Dy had five consecutive birdies to finish the front nine.
- Ivan Barahona shot a 76 (+4) in his second round of play and currently sits in 23rd place on the player leaderboard with a total two-round score of 145 (+1) going into the final round.
- Avinash Iyer shot a second consecutive 75 (+3) in his second round for a total two-round score of 150 (+6) going into the final round on Monday.
- In the second round of the individual event, Alaric Mercie shot a second consecutive 69 (-3) and currently sits in third on the leaderboard with a two-round total score of 138 (-6), Xuan Luo shot a second-round 68 (-4) and currently sits in 11th with a total score of 145 (+1) and Marlon Jones shot a 72 (E) in his second round for a total score of 146 (+2) and sits in 13th place.
- Also, in the individual event, Awesome Burnett shot a 73 (+1) for a two-round total of 149 (+5), and Andreas Diogenous shot a second-round 72 (E) for a total score of 150 (+6).
