SAN JOSE, Calif.—Nayeli Ti'a led all hitters with 17 kills as the San José State volleyball team swept Saint Mary’s Saturday, 3-0 (25-20, 25-16, 25-21), inside Spartan Gym to stay a perfect 8-0 on the season.
- Ti’a added nine digs, four block assists and a team-best three aces in the win.
- Blaire Fleming hit .346 for the match as she added 12 kills on 26 attempts and only three errors.
- Brooke Slusser recorded her second double-double of the season with 30 assists and a season-high 15 digs.
- SJSU out-blocked the Gaels, 10-5, as Emma Testi once again led the Spartans in blocking with seven block assists.
- Brooke Bryant had five kills and three blocks for SJSU.
- Jade Epps started the match for the Spartans and recorded a kill and two blocks.
- The Spartans are now 1-of-9 Division I teams still undefeated on the season.
- The third set was tied 8-8 before the Spartans used an 8-1 run to open up the set and win on Fleming’s 12th kill of the night.
