ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.—Chandler Manusky served up the ace of the match to clinch a 3-1 victory for the San José State volleyball team over New Mexico Thursday night in a Mountain West match in the Johnson Center.
- Manusky ended the night with two aces, the other coming at the beginning of the third set. She also had a season-best 12 digs in the win.
- Blaire Fleming, Brooke Slusser and Alessia Buffagni all recorded double-doubles in the victory.
- Fleming had team highs of 18 kills and 15 digs for her fifth double-double of the season and third consecutive match.
- Fleming also had a team-best three service aces, all coming consecutively in the second set to open up the Spartan lead to 21-13.
- Slusser had 35 assists and 14 digs for her fourth double-double of the year. She was one kill away from the second triple-double of her career with her nine kills. She hit .417 for the match (9-1-17)
- Buffagni had her first double-double of the year and second in her Spartan career with a career-best 15 assists and 11 digs.
- Brooke Bryant hit .400 for the match with a season-high 14 kills on 20 attempts and only two errors. She added a season-best six digs.
- San José State recorded 13 blocks in the match, the sixth time this season with double-digit blocks.
- Kiyana Faupula led the team with eight block assists, while Bryant had six block assists for the third time this year.
- Emma Testi added five blocks (1-4), nine kills and five digs.
- SJSU had a season-high 75 digs with four players in double digits – Fleming at 15, Slusser at 14, Manusky with 12 and Buffagni at 11.
