STANFORD, Calif.—Moa Andersson and Tessa Kremser shot their low rounds of the season to help the San José State women’s golf team finish the first round tied for eighth at the Stanford Intercollegiate at the Stanford Golf Course.

  • Andersson shot a 1-under 70 in the first round and is tied for 15th place.
  • She made four birdies and an eagle during the round. This was her fourth eagle of the season, as she has made at least one in every tournament played.
  • Her eagle came on her third hole of the day, the par-5, 477-yard 12th hole.
  • Andersson is tied for third in the field in par-5 scoring at 3-under.
  • Kremser shot a 1-over 72 and is tied for 29th on the scoreboard. She made four birdies during the round.
  • Nicola Kaminski is tied for 39th at 2-over 73, making three birdies on the day.
  • Rebecca Gyllner and Lucia Lopez Ortega shot a 3-over 74 and are tied for 50th.
  • San José State is tied with LSU for eighth place at 5-over 289. Stanford leads the field at 11-under 273.
