SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Ronin Axelson recorded four saves in his first start in goal this season to lead the San José State (3-6-6, 2-2-2 WAC) men's soccer team in a 1-0 loss on the road against San Diego State (8-4-1, 5-0-0 WAC).
- It was Axelson’s first time playing all 90 minutes in goal in his career.
- Angel Iniguez recorded four shots, two of which were on goal in the game.
- Angel Fernandez and Eamon Fakhri each tallied a shot on goal.
- Iniguez, Fernandez, Axelson, Niklas Dossmann, and Diego Nieves played all 90 minutes in the match.
UP NEXT: The Spartans will return home to face Seattle on Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. at the Spartan Soccer Complex. The game is the first of three straight home games to conclude the season for the Spartans.
