HONOLULU, Hawai’i - In the second game of the Outrigger Rainbow Classic, Donavan Yap tallied 16 points and three steals to lead the San José State (0-3, 0-0 MW) men's basketball team in a 80-69 loss to Hawai’i (2-0, 0-0 BW) at the SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.
- Yap went 3-4 from beyond the arc in the game.
- Yap converted a four-point play when he knocked down a three and got fouled by a Rainbow Warrior defender.
- Yap’s 16 points were a season high and his three steals tied his career high.
- Sadaidriene Hall tallied 14 points in 21 minutes of action.
- Josh Uduje notched 10 points, three rebounds, two assists and a steal in the game.
- Chol Marial scored six points, grabbed seven boards and blocked two shots off the bench.
- Will McClendon, Latrell Davis and Jermaine Washington all knocked down a three in the game.
- The Spartans shot 21-24 from the foul line.
