SAN JOSE, Calif.—The San José State volleyball senior class led the team one final time Tuesday night in a hard-fought five-set loss to Fresno State, 25-19, 19-25, 21-25, 25-20, 12-15, inside Spartan Gym in a Mountain West showdown.
- Blaire Fleming led the team with 21 kills, her second consecutive 20+kill match. She hit .349 (21-6-43), had nine digs and added three blocks (2-1).
- Brooke Slusser recorded 34 assists, six kills, three digs and three block assists.
- Brooke Bryant hit .421 for the match with nine kills on 19 attempts and only one error.
- Chandler Manusky led the team with three service aces and had five digs and three assists.
- Alessia Buffagni contributed three digs and two assists.
- Nayeli Ti’a was the only other Spartan to record double-digit kills with 17 and added seven digs.
- Randilyn Reeves recorded her first double-double of the season with a team-best 14 digs and 11 assists.
- Ava Martin had 11 assists and three digs in three sets played.
- Jade Epps hit .583 for the match with eight kills on 12 attempts and only one error. She was one of three Spartans to record three blocks in the match (1-2).
- The Spartans hit .343 for the match, the third-best this season (66-19-137).
- San José State finishes MW play with a 12-6 record.
UP NEXT – The Spartans await final results from conference matches on Thursday and Saturday before finding out their seed for the 2024 Mountain West Championship, November 27-30, at the Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas.
