SJSU's Dy Shoots a 66 to Lead Spartans at Ka’anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational

LAHAINA, Hawai'i - Jed Dy shot a personal collegiate-best 66 (-5) to lead San José State in the first round of the Ka’anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational from the Royal Ka’anapali Golf Course on Saturday.

  • Dy is in 10th place going into the second round
  • Avinash Iyer and Keshav "KC" Mungali each are in 27th place after both shooting a 68 (-3)
  • Xuan Luo is playing as an individual and also shot a 69 (-2), which is good for 38th place as well
  • Ivan Barahona and Zubair Firdaus each shot a 72 (+1)
  • The Spartans finished as a team shooting 274 (-10), which was good for eighth out of 21 in the team standings
