LAS VEGAS, Nev.—Two Spartans hit .300 or better Thursday night as the San José State volleyball team fell at UNLV, 3-1 (34-32, 26-24, 18-25, 25-16) in a Mountain West match at Cox Pavilion.
- Jade Epps led the team with a .417 hitting percentage with six kills on 12 attempts and only one error.
- Blaire Fleming hit .333 in the match with 20 kills on 42 attempts and six errors.
- Fleming recorded her sixth double-double of the season with 15 digs to go with 20 kills.
- Fleming recorded 20 or more kills for the second time this season after recording 25 against Cal State Fullerton.
- Brooke Slusser dished out 36 assists and added seven digs and six kills.
- Nayeli Ti’a was second on the team with 15 kills and was one dig short of her ninth double-double of the season.
- Alessia Buffagni recorded 11 digs, her eighth match this season with double-digit digs.
- Brooke Bryant added nine kills and five digs.
- Emma Testi, Epps and Fleming each had two blocks to lead the Spartans.
- Testi added seven kills, three assists and an ace.
- Ava Martin recorded 10 assists, three digs and an ace.
- The Spartans are 13-4 on the season and 10-4 in the MW.
