SAN JOSE, Calif. - San José State men’s basketball will continue conference play against Boise State at the Provident Credit Union Event Center on Saturday at 2 p.m. PT on Mountain West Network and KTRB 860 AM.

  • The Spartans are looking for their seventh win in eight games and fourth win in a row.
  • The Spartans are 4-39 all time against Boise State. SJSU last beat the Broncos on Feb. 25, 2023, in a 74-68  overtime win at the Provident Credit Union Event Center.
  • The Spartans are coming off an 89-65 victory over Kennesaw State at home. The 24 point win was the team's largest margin of victory this season over a DI opponent.
  • This game marks the fourth game of the Spartans' five game homestand. SJSU is averaging 104.3 points per game over its last three games.
  • The Spartans are averaging the second fewest turnovers per game in the Mountain West (10.2).
  • SJSU's field goal percentage of .479 is third in the conference.
  • SJSU is third in the Mountain West in free throw percentage (.757). Four Spartans, Donavan Yap, Will McClendon, Sadaidriene Hall and Josh Uduje, are shooting above 80 percent from the foul line.
  • The Spartans' 47 made field goals and 57 rebounds vs. Lincoln (12/9/24) are tied for the most and the most by any team in the Mountain West in a game this season, respectively.
  • The Spartans scored 100 points in back-to-back games for the first time in school history (107 vs. Cal Poly & 117 vs. Lincoln).
  • The Spartans have recorded at least two 20 point scorers in four games this season, including three of their last four games.
  • The Spartans are 6-0 when they out rebound their opponent. They are also 6-0 when shooting above 50 percent.
  • The reigning Mountain West Sixth Man of the Year, Uduje, currently leads the Spartans with 17.6 points per game which is also good for third in the Mountain West.
  • Uduje has recorded double digit points in 11 out of 13 games this season. He has also scored 20+ seven times this year which is the most in the Mountain West.
  • Uduje has scored 20+ in each of his last four games (22 at New Mexico, 21 vs. Lincoln, 23 vs. Cal Poly, 22 vs. Kennesaw State). He is the first Spartan since James Kinney in 2012 (Nov. 26 - Dec. 8) to record four straight 20 point games. 
  • If Uduje scores 20+ vs. BSU, he will become the first Spartan to score 20+ in five consecutive games since Adrian Oliver, who scored 20+ in six straight games in 2011 (Jan. 27-Feb. 15).
  • Uduje went 5-5 from three and scored a season-high 25 points at USC (11/20/24). Uduje is the only player in the Mountain West to make five three's on 100 percent 3pt. shooting in a game this season.
  • Hall recorded 17 points, a season-high 14 rebounds and a career-high three threes against Kennesaw State. Hall has tallied a double-double in two consecutive games.
  • Hall has knocked down five threes across his last two games. Coming into this season, he had only hit eight threes in his entire career.
  • Hall recorded a career-high 33 points and 14 made field goals in the Spartans' overtime win vs. Cal Poly (12/14/24). He also notched 11 rebounds, giving him his first double-double of the year.
  • Trailing 91-88 to Cal Poly, Yap tapped a loose ball out to Hall who then knocked down the game-tying three with three seconds remaining in regulation, forcing overtime (12/14/24).
  • Hall is one of two players in the Mountain West to hit 14 field goals in a game this season (Donovan Dent, New Mexico).
  • The Spartans are 6-1 since moving Hall into the starting lineup. Hall is averaging 11.6 points, 6.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists over those seven games.
  • Uduje and Hall both surpassed 1,000 career points this season. Uduje accomplished the feat against UC Santa Barbara (11/17/24) while Hall
    achieved it against Kennesaw State (12/21/24).
  • The Spartans’ have recorded five double-doubles in their last four games.
  • McClendon is second on the team in scoring, averaging 12.7 points per game. He has scored double-figures in eight out of 12 games played this season.
  • Robert Vaihola leads the team in rebounding with 7.3 boards per game which is also good for fifth in the conference.
  • Vaihola’s 18 rebounds against Lincoln (12/9/24) is the most recorded in a game by any player in the Mountain West this season. Vaihola is also the first Spartan to grab 18 rebounds in a game since Chris Cunningham on Feb. 2, 2013 against Idaho.
  • Vaihola is also fourth in the conference with 1.4 blocks per game.
  • Yap leads the Spartans with 3.3 assists per game. He also has an assist to turnover ratio of 1.87. 
  • Latrell Davis scored a career-high 21 off the bench in the Spartans' overtime victory vs. Cal Poly (12/14/24). Davis followed his performance up with 20 points off the bench vs. Kennesaw State (12/21/24).
  • Davis hit a shot from half court at the first half buzzer vs. Kennesaw State, earning the No. 10 play of the night on ESPN (12/21/24).
  • Steven Vasquez and Pasha Goodarzi have played crucial roles off the bench over the last three games. Vasquez has a +/- of +32 and Goodarzi has a +/- of +29 in that span.
