SAN JOSE, Calif. - Latrell Davis hit the game-winning shot with two seconds left in regulation to lead the San José State (9-10, 2-5 MW) men's basketball team in a 71-70 victory over New Mexico (14-4, 6-1 MW) at Provident Credit Union Event Center.
- In the closing seconds of regulation, Davis collected a rebound off a Josh Uduje missed floater and put it up and in off the glass to give the Spartans a one point lead with two seconds left in the game.

- Davis also hit a deep three buzzer-beater at the end of the first half.
- Davis finished the game with 11 points, six rebounds and two assists.
- Will McClendon knocked down two threes in the final 90 seconds of the game.
- McClendon finished the game with 12 points, four threes and five assists.
- Robert Vaihola scored a season-high 18 points to go along with nine rebounds and a block. Vaihola’s 18 points led the team and also tied his career-high.
- Jermaine Washington scored a career-high 13 points and knocked down a career-high three three pointers.
- Washington recorded a +/- of +18 which led all players in the game.
- Josh Uduje tallied 12 points and eight rebounds in the game. Uduje’s lone three in the game was an and-one.
- This is the Spartans’ first win against New Mexico since Omari Moore recorded a triple-double on Feb. 20, 2022, in a 71-55 win at the PCUEC.
- New Mexico came into 6-0 in the Mountain West and was receiving votes in the AP poll.
- SJSU had at least five players score double-digits for the third time this season.
- Six of the Spartans’ seven conference games have been decided by seven points or less.
- This is the second time this season the Spartans won despite trailing by 10 or more points in the game.
