SAN JOSE, Calif. - Latrell Davis recorded a career-high 22 points and Will McClendon captured his first career double-double to lead the San José State (10-11, 3-6 MW) men's basketball team in a 67-58 victory over Wyoming (10-10, 3-6 MW) at Provident Credit Union Event Center.
- The Spartans have now won three of their last four games.
- This victory marked the fourth win all-time against Wyoming and first win over the Cowboys since Feb. 4, 2023.
- The Spartans took the lead at the 4:50 mark of the first half and never looked back.
- Davis scored his 22 in only 26 minutes of action. He also collected five rebounds.
- Davis also shot 8-11 from the field and 3-4 from three.
- Davis’ eight made field goals set a new career-high and his three made threes tied his career-high.
- McClendon’s first career double-double consisted of 11 points and 10 rebounds. His 10 boards set a new career-high.
- McClendon is the fifth Spartan to record a double-double this season. SJSU now has recorded eight double-doubles on the year.
- Robert Vaihola tallied eight points, eight rebounds and two blocks in the game.
- Vaihola also dished out five assists, tying his career-high which he set earlier this season at USC.
- Sadaidriene Hall notched 13 points and seven boards in the game to go along with two blocks.
- Donavan Yap recorded eight points and five rebounds.
- The Spartans held the Mountain West’s second leading scorer, Obi Agbim, to a season low seven points on 3-12 shooting.
- The Spartans held the Cowboys to 19 points in the first half. The last time SJSU held a team to under 20 points in a half was on Nov. 20, 2023, against Hampton.
- The Spartans also held the Cowboys to 33.3 percent shooting and 19.4 percent shooting from three.
- The Spartans are now 9-1 when they out rebound their opponent.
