Spartans Drop Game to San Diego State Presented by Provident Credit Union

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Latrell Davis scored 21 points and Donavan Yap scored 19 to lead the San José State (12-14, 5-9 MW) men's basketball team in a 69-66 loss to San Diego State (16-6, 9-4 MW) at the Provident Credit Union Event Center, presented by Provident Credit Union.

  • The Spartans played without their two leading scorers Josh Uduje and Will McClendon.
  • Davis hit five threes in the game and also grabbed three rebounds.
  • Davis is averaging 21.3 points and 3.8 threes per game in his last six games. He has also scored double-digits in eight consecutive games.
  • Davis has also now scored 20 or more points in seven games this season.
  • Yap scored his 19 points on 8-14 shooting. His eight made field goals tied his career-high.
  • Yap also tallied four rebounds and three assists in the game.
  • Robert Vaihola recorded five points, nine rebounds, five assists and three blocks in the game.
  • Of Vaihola’s nine rebounds, six were offensive.
  • Sadaidriene Hall notched six points, eight rebounds and three steals.
  • Jermaine Washington scored five points in his first start of his career.
  • The Spartans held the Aztecs to 4-23 from three.
