CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif. – Aubrie Thomas, Ahmiya Noriega and Sarah Deplitch all hit home runs to lead San José State softball (6-8, 0-0 MW) in a 12-4 six-inning game one loss against No. 15 Nebraska (11-4, 0-0 Big Ten) and a 6-3 game two loss against LMU (4-10, 0-0 WCC) at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic from Big League Dreams Sports Parks on Saturday night.
Game One vs. No. 15 Nebraska
- Thomas finished 1-for-2 with a home run, an RBI, and one run scored.
- Thomas’ home run is her first of the season and the sixth of her career.
- Shay McDowell went 2-for-3 with two singles, and one run scored.
- Haley Reeve ended up 1-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs
- Reeve’s triple was her first of the season and first of her career for the sophomore.
- Noriega finished game one 1-for-3 with a single and one run scored.
- Aneesa Alamguer went 1-for-3 with a single.
- Taylor Squires drew a walk
- Mia Reynolds got the start in the circle, going 5.2 innings with two strikeouts.

Game Two vs. LMU
- Noriega finished 1-for-3 with a home run, two RBIs, and one run scored.
- Noriega’s home run is her first of the season and fourth of her career.
- Noriega bumped up her team-leading RBI total to 13 on the season.
- Sarah Deplitch finished 1-for-3 with a home run, an RBI, and one run scored.
- The freshman Deplitch now has two home runs on the season and for her career.
- Thomas went 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored.
- Thomas now has a hit in her last three games.
- Thomas now has two doubles on the young season.
- Lacie Ham got the start in the circle, going 6.1 innings with seven strikeouts.
