LAS VEGAS—Sadaidriene Hall led the Spartans in scoring with 13 points Thursday as the eighth-seeded San José State men’s basketball team fell to top-seed New Mexico, 63-52, in a quarterfinal game at the Credit Union 1 Mountain West Tournament at the Thomas & Mack Center.
- Hall was one of three Spartans to score in double figures as he was 5-of-11 from the field and 3-for-5 from three-point range. He also grabbed eight rebounds and dished out two assists.
- Robert Vaihola recorded his fourth double-double of the season with 10 points and a team-best 11 rebounds. He also led the team with three assists.
- Josh Uduje scored 10 points and added five rebounds, two blocks and two steals in the game.
- San José State (15-19) made an 11-0 run in the first half to take a 21-16 with 7:29 left in the half, the largest lead for SJSU in the game.
- Uduje had two highlight-worthy dunks off New Mexico turnovers during the run.

- New Mexico (26-6) then used a 16-2 run to take a 32-23 lead into halftime.
- The Spartans got as close as 46-40 in the second half on an Uduje layup with 8:29 remaining, but the Lobos then went on a 13-4 run to lead 59-44 with 2:35 remaining.
- San José State finishes the season with a 15-19 overall record and the most wins (45) over a three-year span since the team won 46 games from 1985-88 while a member of the Big West Conference.
