STOCKTON, Calif. – Reina Zermeno hit two home runs in two games and Aubrie Thomas also hit a home run while Mia Reynolds threw a complete game shutout to lead San José State softball (9-11, 0-0 MW) in a 7-5 game one loss against Pacific (8-8, 0-0 WCC) and a 3-0 win in game two against UC Riverside (9-12, 0-0 Big West) on the third and final day of the Libby Matson Tournament from Bill Simoni Field on Sunday.
Game One vs. Pacific
- Zermeno finished 4-for-4 with a home run, a double, two singles, two RBIs and one run scored.
- Zermeno’s home run is her second of the season and the 12th of her career.
- Four hits set a new season high for Zermeno and tied her career high.
- The last time Zermeno had a 4-for-4 day at the plate was during the 2023 season against New Mexico.
- Taylor Chillingworth finished 1-for-3 with a 2-RBI double.
- Chillingworth’s double is her third of the season.
