Hagan Sets School Record, Spartans Grab Multiple Personal Bests on Day Two of Hornet Invite

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Sky Hagan set a new school record on her way to winning the Women’s 100m Hurdles and Christopher Coats ran his second personal best in as many days, placing himself on another SJSU all-time outdoor record list to lead San José State Track & Field on the second and final day of competition at the Hornet Invite hosted by Sacramento State on Saturday.

Hagan headlined the meet with a historic performance in the Women’s 100m Hurdles, claiming 1st place with a blazing 13.26 seconds, setting a new personal best and breaking the SJSU all-time outdoor school record in the event. With her performance, Hagan now holds the number one fastest time in the country on the NCAA national outdoor qualifying list. 

On the men’s side, Coats sprinted to victory in the Men’s 100m, clocking 10.43 seconds — a personal best that now ranks him 9th all-time in SJSU outdoor history.
