SAN JOSE, Calif. – Aubrie Thomas extended her hit streak to five games, while Shay McDowell and Ahmiya Noriega each had multi-hit games to lead San José State softball (10-12, 0-0 MW) in a 4-3 win over Santa Clara (10-9, 0-0 WCC) in game one of the Silicon Valley Classic II from Spartan Softball Complex on Saturday afternoon.
The Spartans fell behind early in the game, giving up two runs in the first inning before they put up runs in the third, fourth, and sixth innings to reclaim the lead from the Broncos and would hold on for the remainder of the game.
- Thomas finished 2-for-3 with a triple, a single, one RBI, one walk, and two runs scored.
