HOUSTON—Freshman Lillie Grover had the top Spartan finish of the day as the San José State women’s swimming and diving team finished day two of the Credit Union 1 Mountain West Championships.
- Grover finished fourth in the 100 butterfly at 52.91, the second-fastest time in school history.
- Ava Bautista finished 18th in the 100 fly with a season-best 54.11.
- Ela Freiman finished eighth in the 400 IM at 4:20.31.
- Genevieve George won the consolation final of the 400 IM with a season-best 4:17.28, the third-fastest time in school history.
- Stephanie Sifferman won the 200 free C-Final at 1:49.72.
- Diver Elinor Windram finished 13th in 3-meter diving at 263.85.
- The 200 free relay of Nikki Lahey, Lais e Silva, Dalton Sickon and Keira Vail, finished in seventh place at 1:31.06, the third-fastest time in school history.
UP NEXT – Day three of the championships begins on Friday with preliminaries in the 200 butterfly, 100 backstroke and the 100 breaststroke starting at 10:30 a.m. CT/8:30 a.m. PT. Finals begin at 6 p.m. CT/4 p.m. PT. All races will be shown live on the Mountain West Network.
