SAN JOSE, Calif.— Darcy Spark scored four goals to lead the No. 16 San José State women's water polo team (5-7, 0-1 MPSF) in a 19-8 loss against No. 3 USC (12-2, 1-0 MPSF) in the home opener at the SRAC Saturday afternoon.
- Spark scored in each quarter of the match.
- After Spark, Sarah Woren contributed two goals, as Mackenzy Clark and Bridget Cranley contributed one apiece.
- Contributing to the offense, Catie Kelly, Jennine Osorio and Rachel Williams each dished out an assist.
- Along with being on the offensive front, Spark stood out in the defense with three steals, as Emma Ruzic, Osorio, Jessica Ross and Rose Jensen grabbed one each.
UP NEXT: The Spartans will remain home and host the No. 5 Sun Devils tomorrow, Sunday at 1 p.m., at the SRAC.
