SAN DIEGO—Darcy Spark led the team in scoring in two matches Sunday as the No. 18 San José State women’s water polo team played twice at the Aztec Invitational.
Spark scored twice in the first match of the day as SJSU fell to No. 12 Harvard, 13-4. Her goals came in the second and fourth quarters. Sarah Woren gave the Spartans the early 1-0 lead on a penalty shot. Sienna Cimoli scored the team’s final goal in the fourth quarter. Goalie Tatianna Raffin made seven saves.
The Spartans then fell to No. 16 UC San Diego, 13-12, as Spark scored six goals in the loss. Bridget Cranley scored twice, while Woren, Jennine Osorio, Mackenzy Clark and Rose Jensen each had one goal. Raffin made 10 saves in goal.
UP NEXT – The Spartans host No. 9 Indiana this Friday, March 20, at 1 p.m. PT, inside the SRAC.
