Five Spartans Score Goals Against Indiana

BERKELEY, Calif.—Five Spartans scored goals on Saturday as the seventh-seeded San José State women’s water polo team fell to sixth-seed Indiana, 14-11, Saturday at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championship Tournament at the Spieker Aquatics Center.

  • Darcy Spark led all goal scorers with five and ends the 2026 season with 92 goals scored. She scored once in the first quarter, twice in the second and once in the third and fourth quarters.
  • Sarah Woren scored two goals in the match, both in the first quarter to tie the match at 2-2 and then give SJSU the 3-2 lead.
  • Nynke Willemsen scored her only goal with 44 seconds left in the second quarter to give the Spartans a 7-6 lead at halftime.
  • Jennine Osorio scored the first Spartan goal of the match and was one of three Spartans to score in the third quarter to account for her two goals.
  • Mackenzy Clark recorded three assists and took two shots for SJSU.
  • Goalie Tatianna Raffin made seven saves during the match.
  • San José State finishes the 2026 season with a 7-17 overall record.
