
IRVING, Texas - San José State is proud to announce that an SJSU record six members of the Spartan football team have been selected for membership in the 2026 NFF Hampshire Honor Society, as announced by the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF).
The Hampshire Honor Society, now celebrating its 20th year, recognizes college football student-athletes from all divisions who maintained a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.2 or higher throughout their college careers. This year’s class set a record with 2,596 players from 365 schools qualifying for membership.

To be eligible for membership in the Hampshire Honor Society, candidates must be either a senior who will graduate this spring/summer and has just completed their final year of eligibility, or a graduated player who has been out of high school for at least three years. In addition to meeting the 3.2 GPA requirement, members must have been starters or significant contributors throughout the 2025 season.
The Hampshire Honor Society is supported by The Hampshire Foundation, the charitable arm of The Hampshire Companies.
