USAFA, Colo. – Jake McCoy and Neil Jansen each homered to lead the San José State baseball team (17-22, 5-8 MW) in a 20-10 eight inning loss to Air Force (19-20, 10-6 MW) Friday afternoon from Erdle Field in the first game of a three game series.
The Spartans came out swinging early, plating two runs in the first inning thanks to a Peyton Rowles RBI single and a Rhone Klein sac-fly and adding another in the third off a Klein RBI groundout. The Spartans broke the game open with a five-run fourth thanks to two Falcon errors and a two-run McCoy home run.
