SAN JOSE, Calif. - NBC Sports Bay Area will broadcast three San José State football games this season from CEFCU Stadium and will simulcast on MW+.
The football coverage begins this Saturday with the football team’s matchup against Cal Poly on Saturday, September 12, at 6:00 p.m., live from CEFCU Stadium (Tickets). Calling the action in the broadcast booth will be play-by-play voice Neal Ruhl, former Spartan football star and NFL wide receiver James Jones, and sideline reporter Lindsey Pallares. The broadcast marks the sixth consecutive season that an SJSU football game will air on NBC Sports Bay Area.

BROADCAST TEAM:
James Jones (Analyst for Cal Poly and New Mexico): One of the most decorated wide receivers in San José State history, Jones played for the Spartans from 2003 to 2006, earning All-WAC First Team honors and MVP of the 2006 New Mexico Bowl. Selected in the third round of the 2007 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers, he spent nine seasons in the NFL—winning Super Bowl XLV and leading the league in receiving touchdowns in 2012. He currently serves as a national sports analyst on NFL Network and FOX Sports.
David Fales (Analyst for Northern Illinois): A San José State football legend and one of the most prolific quarterbacks in school history, Fales led the Spartans to an 11–2 record, a top-21 national ranking, and a 2012 Military Bowl victory. He holds program records for passing efficiency and completion percentage before being drafted into the NFL by the Chicago Bears in 2014, playing five seasons in the league.
Neal Ruhl (Play-by-Play): An experienced, high-energy sports broadcaster with over a decade of play-by-play experience. The long-time voice of Oakland University athletics and regional Detroit media, Ruhl anchors the game broadcasts with sharp play-calling and signature enthusiasm and broadcast the first two games this season on the SJSU Spartans Sports Media Network.
Lindsey Pallares (Sideline Reporter for Cal Poly and New Mexico): A seasoned sports journalist, digital content strategist, and former Team Reporter for the San Francisco 49ers. Her background includes serving as a Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter at KXTV Fox 40 in Sacramento, and she is currently a reporter & digital content lead at 97.1 The Fan in Los Angeles, Calif.
Guerin Austin (Sideline Reporter for Northern Illinois): A veteran sports broadcaster and Emmy Award-winning reporter with extensive experience across major sports networks, bringing years of elite sideline reporting and storytelling from college football and professional sports sidelines.
