HONOLULU—Learden Lee led the Spartan hitting attack, committing no errors in 16 attempts, to lead the San José State volleyball team in a 3-0 loss at Mountain West leader Hawaii Saturday evening at the Bankoh Arena at the Stan Sherriff Center.
- Lee hit .438 for the match and led the Spartans with seven kills. She was the only Spartan to hit above .300 in the three-set match.
- Morgan Graves and Aniyah Hall each had three kills, while Devon DeNecochea had two.
- The Spartans recorded seven blocks in the match, led by Hall with four, one solo and three assists.
- Lee added three blocks, two solo and an assist, while Naima Foster added two block assists.
- Zuzana Kosíková led the Spartans with 15 digs and two aces.
- Orian Drore added nine digs, followed by Fatimah Hall with seven and Hanna Darvas with five.
UP NEXT – The Spartans return home for two matches against UC Davis on October 16 and 17, at 6 and 5 p.m., respectively. Both matches will be played at Spartan Gym, inside the YUH Complex on the corner of Fourth and San Carlos Streets. Admission is free. Fans can park in the West Garage on Fourth Street.
